I needed a DVD player running on 110V and 220V. I searched on Google and was directed to this product. I bought it and then realized that it does NOT run on 220V. The 220V are only part of the model number – one of the most stupidly chosen model numbers. In addition, what device in these days still runs only on 110V??? A dinosaur. Now I have to go through the cumbersome process of returning the product and buying another one.

The player works like a charm. Only bummer is the video Avatar, which we got in PRC, which, tho it plays perfectly, is a BORING movie. I don’t know what the hype was about when it hit the theaters.

Having been through an international zone free Panasonic VHS player and a Sony zone free DVD player, I was looking for a machine that required an easy installation. Not only did the player arrive on time, but, it was so simple to just replace my Sony DVD player that required a video converter that I lost in a move. The picture looks good and I have tried content from the UK (PAL) and other regions and they all played on this unit.
I did not have high requirements for technical features so I cannot report on that. But if you are anything like I am, I just wanted simple enjoyment from content created in other regions.

If you are looking for a good upscaling DVD player, this is probably the one to get. HDMI connection provides 1080p quality playback.I have not checked any non NTSC formatted discs, but the player is supposed to be region free as well. It has several picture adjustment features built in, including sharpness, contrast, hue, and more. USB connection makes it easy to play back MP3 content. Less tahn 15″ wide it has a small footprint. The remote is not fancy but well laid out and easy to use(not universal). This is an excellent upscaling DVD player.

I’ve had this DVD player for three weeks now, having purchased it in brand-new condition from Worldwide Distributors for just over $60. Works like a dream if you just want simple, uncomplicated operation and playback.
The day it arrived I unwrapped the box, plugged the unit into my TV, turned it on, popped in a UK DVD and pressed “play.” It played immediately. No programming or coding required on my part. I’ve played a lot of UK DVDs in it since and haven’t had any problems, but I will note that my UK DVDs are all fairly recent productions (put on DVD within the past decade).
I’m truly impressed, and my husband’s jaw dropped when I showed him the price. He’s as ecstatic as I am to watch our favorites at better prices than in the US. I’d highly recommend this seller and this unit.
