I dubbed a vhs clip to a dvd but it won’t play in any other dvd player.
I guess i have to finalize this dupe, but I’m having problems. Any suggestions?

I bought this same item from another company. The remote did not work. Tech support referred me to customer service. I was on hold an extended time with LOUD BLARING MUSIC. I was told remote was not in stock and I should call back. After several attempts a rep finally took the details and called me a week or so later when the remote was available.

Took us over a month to finally get this working. It’s still not working like I would like it too but at least it is working

I’ve been a professional engineer for 25 years and can honestly say this is among the worst pieces of engineering I’ve ever seen. The unit, brand new, is basically non-functional. Most functions, whether selected from the remote of from the console’s buttons, do not work at all. Among these are the DISPLAY button, which unfortunately is needed to access any of the setup menus. The DVD tray open/close works on every 2nd or 3rd push. RECORD works for both DVDs and tapes, as does REWIND, but PLAY worked only twice out of several dozen attempts — the rest of the time, the unit just sits there as if you’d pressed no buttons at all.
In fact, that’s what over 75% of the remote control’s buttons do when pushed — nothing. Three different sets of batteries produced the same results, so power isn’t the problem. The remote itself is not the problem — most of the buttons on the unit itself do not work when pushed.
Picture quality is HORRIBLE no matter whether you’re using high quality HDMI, component video, or S-VHS cables. Doesn’t matter whether you’re viewing a professionally produced DVD or something the unit managed to record on one of the few times the PLAYback button ever worked.
The user’s manual is either pitiful or hilarious, depending on how you react to attempts by someone to write technical documentation in a language they do not speak. The nonsensical instructions would at times be funny if I hadn’t just dropped $200 on an obvious piece of garbage. I made the mistake of thinking “nothing could really be this bad” when I read the other critical reviews of this unit. IT REALLY IS THAT BAD.

i do have 3 of the dvd’s and vcr’s recorders, 2 are connected up to tv’s and 1 already have been used to record my old vhs tapes to dvd’s and dvd’s to tapes. also the anolag and digital tuner is gret to record on. i don’t have to use a dvr to record and be charge a monthly fee.
