I have limited space in my dorm room, and the only place to put my stereo when I go back is in my closet. I’ve got a pair of average-sized 3-way speakers and they will be placed at each side of the roughly 2ft by 6 foot wooden closet. Will they sound like crap, and is there any adjustment to the amp or speakers that would improve the sound?

Obviously they are NOT going to sound the best compared to having them out in the open as they were designed for. You might even create an echo effect if anything, perhaps piss off your next door neighbors. -but- considering you ARE in “dorm rooms” I don’t think it is going to matter much anyways. Sounds like this is your only choice.
The best adjustment would be your ear. Just setup the speakers and adjust everything according to how you LIKE it.

I have a 1993 Chevy S10 with a short cab. The back of the seats almost touch the rear window and there is nearly no room in the rear. I want to put 2-12″ subwoofers and the amp in the cab of the truck, but I’m not sure if there is room. I estimate there is around 4-6 inches behind the lowest part of the seat to the back of the cab. Can I put subs in my truck or not?

You have to either build or buy a custom box. I have had 2 friends do this very thing. Just make sure you choose wisely to pick the right size and shape speakers to fit.

Would a plasma TV screen ever crack or shatter because of a TV malfunction? I was thinking of buying one, but warranty doesn’t cover accidents. Before I buy one, I want to know if there is any reason that a plasma TV screen would crack. Any kinds of malfunctions in the TV itself, or other natural causes.

No, it sounds like it was dropped.These plasma tv sets are fragile and need to be handled carefully.I have seen many come back also because the picture fades out after a small amount of use. Another problem is that the picture burns into the screen. The same as if you leave a computer on all the time,the screensaver image burns into the screen.

I am planning on getting 2 12 inch subwoofers. They are 300 RMS apiece and 600 Max power apiece. I am wondering what amp wattage (RMS and Max) would I get the best (louder and quality) results out of. If anyone could post a link of an amplifier on ebay that is decently cheap then please do so. Typically even an inexpensive after-market speaker will be much better than a factory speaker, whether it’s the base aftermarket system or a premium upgrade package. You have to understand that a “premium” OEM system doesn’t typically use higher-quality speakers. It uses separate amplifiers with built-in equalization and crossovers, and adds additional speakers instead of just the standard four. The speakers themselves are usually just a lightweight, paper cone design.
It’s usually not hard to put together an after-market car audio package that will outperform a “premium” OEM system.

I have 2 KICKER CVR12-4′s and i was wondering what amp would be perfect for those subwoofers, they have a 400RMS rating and 800 max, so i would assume that a 1600watt amp would be great, but the ohms need to match. Any suggestions on an amp that would be perfect or close to perfect to match them?

You want something that’s around 1000w rms at 1 ohm. Those peak ratings are meaningless.
The Hifonics bxi1210d is a very common amp that’s decent quality. The MBquart dsc1000.1 is a good amp that’s not too expensive.
The audiopipe ap8001d is one of the cheapest options I know of that would give you a good amount of power.

i would go with the sony 6×9′s from walmart, or the pioneer ones. sony is my personal fav. i had a 1000 watt amp with two twelves and the sony 6×9′s in my older camaro and it beat like crazy but words were still loud and clear. hope this helps

If you are talking about what I’m thinking you are, it wouldn’t work. If you remove the whole globe and the plastic support structure under the globe, you will find the connection to the power supply, a circuit, and a wire going up to the center of the orb. This wire is what makes the plasma. If you touch the bare parts of this wire, you WILL get hurt, and most likely burned. There are may thousands of volts coming out of this wire. I know this because I pulled one apart once and it arced to my metal door handle from about half an inch away. Electricity is a very dangerous thing to mess with, even if you know what you are doing.
