I am planning on purchasing 2 15inch p2 subwoofers and need help choosing between the dual 2ohm or the dual 4ohm. they are going to be hooked up to a Kenwood KAC-7204 amplifer and i want to get as much power to the subs as i can without damaging them. how should i hook them up or wire them.

what are the specs of the amp? to give an educated answer we need this.
that being said I’d say dual 4 ohm because u wire each sub down to 2 then wire them parallel to amp for a 1 ohm load. that will exert most power from the amp, ASSUMING amp is 1 ohm stable. check first otherwise you’ll fry it.

i was looking up subwoofers to get for my car and i came across this question. i’ve only noticed that the dual coils are more expensive. is it worth the price difference?

Single coil has a fixed impedance. A duel coil gives you the choice of two impedances. If you know what impedance your amp is designed for, there’s no need for a duel coil woofer.
