How do I make the sound come from my speakers and not from my computer?
Question by Gwonam: How do I make the sound come from my speakers and not from my computer?
I bought some nice speakers at a garage sale, and I can’t get them to work properly. The sound comes from my speakers, and they work fine, but it also comes from the speaker in my computer. Can someone tell this idiot how to make it so the sound only comes from my speakers and not from the speaker in my computer?

My best guess would be to go under your “Control Panel” and check under your sound settings if you operate through Microsoft Windows! Good Luck!

Q&A: How to use both normal speakers and speakers built in my moniter simultaneously for my computer?
Question by I3lackout: How to use both normal speakers and speakers built in my moniter simultaneously for my computer?
I have two speakers that produce amazing sound (+ huge subwoofer) and I just got the HP 2009m flat screen moniter that has built in speakers. I was wondering if I could use both of them to get a bit more sound power? Thanks!

Answer by Mr. G
Yes. Go to Radio Shack (or some other electronics store) and ask for a y-cable for a 1/8″ headphone jack. You can plug both sets of speakers into the y-cable and the y-cable into the PC.

What are the best computer speakers to use with a macbook?
Question by Petunia: What are the best computer speakers to use with a macbook?
My macbook’s volume does not get very high. I know speakers are speakers, but I want to know which ones I can get to get my “best bang for my buck!” So rating sound quality, price, size is not really an issue. But what speakers do you suggest?!!

Any Logitech 2.1 speakers would work excellent. If you want more power, get some higher end, more expensive ones. If not, get some lower-end ones. But across the board, Logitech speakers are awesome.

What computer speakers perform great with games and music?
Question by YEAUH!: What computer speakers perform great with games and music?
I have been looking online for a while now but if one speaker is great for music, it sucks for gaming, or vice-versa. Is there a good pair of speakers running for $ 90 and under that would work great with both?

How can I hook up my computer to my plasma tv that has hdmi inputs. My computer has a DVI port?
Question by Brian R: How can I hook up my computer to my plasma tv that has hdmi inputs. My computer has a DVI port?
I recently bought a computer HP Media Center. I want to be able to hook this up to my plasma tv to use it as a Jukebox for all my music. The computer has a DVI monitor connector, and it also has a svideo out. I have tried to use the svideo option in the past on a plasma tv and it just comes out horrible? The audio is not a problem, just the video? I want it to look decent on the tv. My plasma has svideo & hdmi? Can I convert the hdmi to dvi ? What do you suggust?

What is the difference between computer speakers and hifi speakers?
Question by Rob H: What is the difference between computer speakers and hifi speakers?
It seems to be the trend that speakers designed for computers have two (or four, or five, whatever) satellite speakers (tweeters?) and then a subwoofer. Whereas for hifis it seems that you have two speaker cabinets, with a woofer and a tweeter in each.
what’s the deal?

if you have the cable box for the monitor to plug into, then you just need a converter from your monitor plug to your tv cable plug
Do you get some kind of digital cable? or Direct TV or something? with these digital cable services you do need a cable box from the company,
If you just have normal free town cable then you prob. just need something like this http://www.cnet.com/4520-7387_1-6341848-2.html?tag=tab
