I was planning to order these speaker from Electronic Expo, but their extremely low price prompted me to do a little research. I called Infinity and was told that buying online from Electronic Expo will void the manufacturer warranty since they are not an authorized online retailer. I was also told that they often get calls regarding product bought online with similar pricing and they end up being refurb or grey market product. Do not confuse these guys with Electronics Express which is an authorized Infinity online retailer. I was told to stick to the authorized online retailers listed on the infinity site and I would get the quality I expect. As always, if something appears too good to be true, it probably is best to be wary.

I am very new to the surround sound niche, and first listened to this set in the store and liked it enough to purchase it, but not at the high store prices. What would we do without Amazon? Anyway, I bought a Onkyo TX-SR304S 5.1 Channel Home Theater Receiver to go with it, also through Amazon. (in fact, I paid less for the receiver, speakers, blu-ray DVD, HDMI and 16 gauge speaker wire at Amazon than the speaker system alone at the store). (I also found out the receiver has no HDMI connection, so I used a coaxial cable instead, works just as well). After I figured out all the wiring to it, the TV and blu-ray player, I can only say I am very pleased. The only two things I would like to see is they include speaker stands with the units. I am sure they can include it in the package for a whole lot less than what they sell it for separately. I didn’t get any, however, opting to hang them on the wall. The bracket system took a little time to figure out, but once I saw how it went together, it was pretty easy. The other thing is the wire. The wire is not 16 gauge, and having to spend more $$$’s to get the bigger size was a pain since I waited 10 days to get the wire, and I had the speakers in 2 days. The supplied wire was almost .020″ smaller than 16 gauge. Whether or not the sound is better with 16 gauge or the one supplied, I do not know, I have just always used the thicker wire. Surely they couldn’t save that much by using smaller wire.

Just got these speakers today, and let me say I am loving them! I have them hooked up to a Yamaha HTR-6240, and they seem quite a nice match. When I put in the new Star Trek blu-ray after configuring them, I was just blown away by the sound quality! Very clear, precise audio, and the bass response from the sub is way better than I thought it would be from an 8″ sub. Voices sound clear, music and effects made me sit up and take notice. Explosions made my cat run and hide under the bed.
The multiple mounting hardware choices are clever, easy to use, and are designed to make them look neat and streamlined from every angle. The satellites and center channel are gorgeous to look at, and are quite a bit heavier than I thought they would be, which makes me think “quality.” The sub also is quite heavy and appears to be well made. They look great with my new 50inch Samsung plasma, even though they aren’t piano black.
I don’t have anything negative to say about these speakers, and am simply thrilled with my purchase. I was a little worried that once I got them I would be regretful that I didn’t spring for the TSS-800, but I have no regrets. Go ahead and buy them, you won’t be sorry. This is a budget system, but it sounds a lot better than the price would let you believe.

I have these speakers connected to a Pioneer VSX-919AH-K 120 Watts A/V Receiver with Full Color GUI/OSD, Advanced MCACC and Analog to HDMI Up-Conversion (Black) You can hear all of the notes distinctly and was a vast improvement over my older Sony htib speakers. The subwoofer is a bit big, but you’ll be very pleased with the quality of the bass. One of my major concerns was speaker size since my living room is not very big. These speakers fit easily on a end table, lamp table and along side my flat screen. I am quite impressed with these speakers and do recommend them.

This is an awesome set of speakers for almost any system. I set up in a brand new club room, and they sound terrific! It’s unfortunate that the Griswold review on this site discusses issues with another supplier, and doesn’t rate this site, nor the speakers. The review should never have been left below…
