Easy enough to set up. Base is good, but overall the system does not “fill” the room with sound.

I spent the better part of two months researching sound and speaker systems that could possibly fit our needs once we completed the remodeling project of our TV room. Over the past 30 years or so I have had much better than average component systems for our listening enjoyment. My latest being a 770 JVC Receiver w/ 5.1 surround using Polks Audio shelf speakers, Boston Acoustics CS26B Classic Series Bookshelf Speaker, Polk Audio CS10 Center Channel Speaker and Polk Audio PSW111 Compact Powered 8-Inch Subwoofer. While I am far from being a professional sound engineer, I do love and appreciate good sound and being a 30 year veteran high school band director, horn player and almost perfect pitch, I think I can at least make a legitimate statement concerning sound for one’s home.
Having said all of that (no brag, just fact), I would certainly recommend the Bose Acoustimass system Bose® Acoustimass® 10 Series IV home entertainment speaker system for anyone that is seeking to get away from the “room in a sound system” image “and seeking a “sound system in a room” feel without quality loss. Coupled with the Onkyo 507 and the 46″ LED HDTV I am enjoying the heavenly choir here on earth.
Perhaps I have given up a small amount of mid-lows and mid-highs but have gained far more than I have given up. That would include my friends asking me where the great sound is coming from.

The speakers arrived less than a week from purchasing on Amazon. They were easy to install work wonderfully. We watch cable and DVD through the Bose speakers, and they are more than adequate to fill the room with great sound. The living room (where the speakers are) is open to a sunroom on one side and the kitchen on the back. We often listen to one of the music stations on the digital cable, and the sound is great anywhere downstairs. Buy these speakers, and you won’t have to get another set……ever!

I read alot of literature about Bose and all of their different home theater systems. I almost got the Lifestyle V20, but just went the other way at the last second. I wanted a little more options as far as sound settings. Anyway, these speakers sound great! Totally worth the money! The subwoofer (acoustimass) is BOOMING! You hear every detail that comes through your audio. Definately would buy this over any other speaker brand.
