What determines how much a plasma center pays you for a donation?

Question by RiRi: What determines how much a plasma center pays you for a donation?
I read somwhere that if you have high titres in the blood from recently giving birth to a child with different rh blood factor than yours, than your plasma is more useful in creating gamma-globulins(?) or something and that there was this one woman in FL who made $ 80,000.00 a year donating her plasma. Is that possible?

If your plasma has the right globulins and antibodies, it can be very valuable, such as if you recently survived a deadly viral infectious disease. I do not know the rate of pay, but it is pretty much supply and demand, and knowing if your plasma type is in demand or not.
