I purchased this wall mount to hold a 20″ Dell monitor. I also recently purchased two official Ergotron Desk Mount arms to hold larger monitors. At less than 1/4 the price of the Ergotron arms, this mount is much higher quality than I expected. While the instructions are not very comprehensive, installation and adjustment is very easy. The arm swings smoothly when needed, but does not creep once the monitor is in place.
Unfortunatly, due to the features of the wall where I have placed the monitor, I need a wall mount that provides height adjustment, and this one does not, so I will be looking for another solution.

I purchased expecting something cheap and low quality for the money. The product shipped out quickly, looks great, was simple to install and works flawlessly. You will not find anything close to this for the money. This is the fourth mount I have purchased from Cheetah and have been very happy. Good Deal!

a bargain is a bargain. this functions well stationary, articulation is smooth as it swings, but the tilt sucks! the weight of the monitor, well within the limits mind you, sags down from my preference setting. i adjusted it high to compensate but that didn’t work so well.

I got this item and installed it per the instructions. Please note that you need to drill 1/8 inch pilot holes for the massive screws the kit comes with; if you get it smack into a stud, you might want to go just a tad larger for the pilot holes, or get a drill bit which will let you drill your pilot holes two inches deep. The reason I say this is that it got so difficult to turn the screws that I had to use both hands and my body to do so and then I snapped off one of the screw heads. I wasn’t going to mess with the other screw, which was in and just fine, so I just flipped it down and got a new screw and started over. By the way, there’s an arrow on this thing that can point either up or down, but do not make it point left or right. That is trouble, right there.
Once I had it installed, I mounted my 19″ television on it. Using a bubble level, I have determined that the swing arm has the most strength when it is mostly retracted (against the wall.) It stays level. The more you extend it, the more it seems to sag at that joint between the two parts of the arm, which doesn’t seem too bad, but makes me hesitant to leave it out for any length of time.
Still, if you’re looking for an inexpensive wall mount, don’t let that deter you. This thing is value for the money, and if I were looking for a second one, I’d likely buy it again (but I’d get a bigger, longer drill bit!!)
