AS we upgraded the old TV to a Sony Bravia LCD, the 15 year old Sony A/V receiver was not up to the task of switching HDTV inputs or Dolby 5.1 audio.

Great Sound, not TiVo compatible
The installation was simple enough. I was replacing an Okyno, so cables weren’t a problem. I don’t have a BR DVD player, but had to use that input to get to the optical audio…

there’s something everyone who’s considering this as an A/V receiver should be aware of, it does NOT have a analog to digital video converter!

Sony sucks !!!!!!!
This receiver has been nothing but a pain in the ass since I got it. It does not work right and I have to take it to a repair center and hope they can fix it.

Great replacement
Our old Sony receiver didn’t survive our 1 year olds curiosity, so we had to replace it with this unit. We are very happy with it!

Simple to use. HDMI doesn't have audio so you need to use separate cable for digital audio from cable and dvd.
