Won’t work with my Linksys USB wireless N adapter. Manual says it is only compatible with a Samsung wireless adapter that costs another $79. This player is going back. Also making a loud grinding noise when it powers up and down.

This blu-Ray player basically does the primary job of playing a blu-Ray disc. However, it has a host of problems. Summary:
Pros:
- Plays blu-ray discs
- Easy firmware updates via Ethernet connection
- Looks nice
- Decent remote
Cons:
- Frequent loud pops through receiver when player is idle
- Very loud noise through surround speakers once or twice (scared the pants off me)
- Only sits on pause for a short time before shutting off
- If it shuts off by itself, it resets my Samsung tv to the Cable input (which I don’t use)
- Audio and video get out of synch on Netflix instant watch (have very fast Internet connection and does not happen on pc)
These problems were enough to make me return it. They were unendurable. If you want the Netflix instant watch feature, perhaps try the LG models instead.

The player does not connect to my router automatically, I keep having to pair it with my router

Updated system immediately.Was easy to set up.Have hdmi cable from Samsung BD-P1590 blu-ray disk player, to my Samsung ln32a3a300j1dxza 32 inch 720 dpi lcd television.installed fiber optic audio cable. Blu-Ray Remote was able to control most vital T.V. functions automatically.Pictures on Blu-Ray looked fine. Pandora music service sounded fine, but seemed to cut off most music tracks short.Also when subscribing to A certain channel(like Pink Floyd) the first song would be Pink Floyd,but cut short.Then the next song wouldnt be Pink floyd! As for Netflix, I watched parts of A few Blue-Ray movies to test out the unit and they worked fine. Then when I wanted to watch A full movie on Netflix I received A “unable to connect to Netflix” notification,and has beed that way for at least six hours! Called Netflix and they said all their servers were up and running. Seems like the start of the ole’ run around. NOTICE: When playing Blu-Ray streaming from Netflix there is no digital audio at any time,You lose half the bang for youre buck. My advice would be to wait for this technology to mature before laying out cash for A system that dosent work! Also my unit didnt come with an hdmi cable.
Called Samsung customer service and they told me audio received through BD-P1590(or any other Blu Ray player) through Netflix streaming was in digital audio format.Called Netflix and they told me they are not able to stream digital audio through any streaming Blu Ray players or any other players for that matter. NOTE: If you find that you cant get A connection to netflix through youre BD-P1590 do the following,it worked for me. Remove disk from player,turn off player,un-plug player,hold down the on/off button for 10 seconds.plug player back in and turn on. Go to netflix service and all should be well. It worked fine for me.Netflix customer service was very hepful, and said they would inform Samsung about not being able to stream digital audio.Even without digital audio the sound is fine.

Bought the unit at Costco. I was playing my first Blu-Ray and all was going great, then it froze. I could not get it to do anything. I had to power it down and start over. It did it again, and again. Looked up trouble shooting, got the firmware update and pluged it in. That is when everything froze and I called customer service. That was on Sept 9. CS said they would send me a flash drive. To make a long story short I returned it back to Costco on Oct 23. After many calls and being given the direct line to EXECUTIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE who promiced that firmware was mailed and on the way I gave up. No way to treat someone who has invested good money in Samsung products. I have a 46″ LCD a 52″ LCD and a 3600 Blu-Ray and hope I will never need (LOL) Customer Service.
