I read all the reviews from the persons who wrote before me and trusted their judgement.
I just received the 1910 last week from Crutchfield and so far it is excellent.
The remote is a little confusing.

It replaced a older Denon that I needed to connect to my new Sony TV to get maxium sound & picture. It has given us good results.

Product is not an amplifier - therefore it has limitation for those looking for an amplifier, but has features that equally give comparable functions as an amplifier would. Once you get going with it, it is easy to navigate.

I've had this for about 6 hours now and I'm about to throw the damn thing out the window. I write websites for a living, I'm surrounded by tens of thousands of dollars worth of Macs and TVs and audio equipment, I'm not some doddering old man shoving toast into the VCR, so believe me when I tell you this POS is pointlessly complicated and unthinkably frustrating. If you have several hours to kill and don't mind jumping through endless hoops to get a machine to do you the honor of working, you should love this.

don't have any review of the unit yet as I just picked it up from Best Buy. I went to their Magnolia unit and asked if they would price match the very similar Denon AVR 790 and, surprisingly, they would. Picked mine up for over $120 off the retail just by asking.

This is my second Denon receiver, first is an AVR 3801 bought 7-8 years ago and which is killer but lacks HDMI, so as I recently got a new Samsung LCD and I don't want to have to run a gazillion cables to get surround on the new TV, I got this puppy. I am sure it will satisfy my needs, just hope it is not too much of a pain to set up.

Update: August 8, 2009

I've had the unit for about a month and a half and it was not too bad to set up. A few annoying quirks and consulting Batpig's set up guide and batpig himself helped resolve most of the issues I had setting the unit up. It sounds great and I am happy with the unit.
